OGSIEC Announces Dr. Olushola Akinbode As Winner of Yewa North 2024 Local Government Election Results

​ The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has declared Dr. Samuel Olushola Akinbode of the ruling All Progressives Congress as the winner of Yewa North 2024 Local Government Chairmanship and Councilorship elections, with the APC Councillorship candidates across the wards emerging victorious. The announcement was made today by OGSIEC Chairman, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu, at the Commission’s headquarters in Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, while presenting the official results of the polls in a live broadcast. According to Mr. Osibodu, a total of 613,156 votes were cast in the Chairmanship elections across the 20 local government areas. The foremost Ogun monarch, after exercising his constitutional franchise lauded Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) for conducting a peaceful and fair election.
