AWORI DAY FESTIVAL IS A LONG AWAITED AND TIMELY SUCCESS, OLOFIN ADIMULA COMMENDS AWAN
For a successful hosting of the maiden edition of Awori Day Cultural Festival, the traditional emblem and progenitor of all Aworis, Olofin Asholesa, His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba (Engr.) Sulaimon Adekunle Bamgbade, Ayodele Edun Alaka III, Arole Olofin Ogunfunminire, Olofin of Isheri and Adimula of Awori Kingdoms, extends Royal felicitation and appreciation to all Awori indigenes who took it as a point of utmost importance to make their ways to the historical gathering of our fathers, mothers, sons, daughters and friends of Awori, to experience the beauty of the gifted display of our customs and traditions as we showcase to the world that indeed the Aworis are one of the most welcoming people that are worth associating with.
Alayeluwa Olofin Asholesha congratulates all encapsulate Awori Kingdoms for taking turns to showcase the traditional prowess embedded in our culture as an entity that has confidence to showcase the mind-blowing displays as it has been passed from our founding fathers down to the present generation, and on the same note urge for more robust kinship, genuine unity and promotion of peace and tranquility amongst ourselves as an unbreakable and formidable entity.
Alayeluwa starts by bringing this warm appreciation and salutations from the ancestral stool of the source of all Awori Kingdoms to all fellow Traditional Rulers who led troops of Awori indigenes from their respective kingdoms to the long awaited and timely success packages in a gathering we have successfully laid down in cooperation during our reigns as custodians of the culture, traditions and norms of our people for our people to share the common bond that binds us together as the descendants of our progenitor "Olofin Ogufunminire" in unity and in grand style.
This unifying event would not have been this memorably colourful without acknowledging the supports and appearances of all the numerous political, religious and professional leaders, clubs, organizations and elites, starting from our Host Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu and his Ogun State counterpart in person of His Excellency, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, MFR, ably represented by the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the Former Deputy Governors of Lagos State, the Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly, all National Assembly distinguished members (both former and present), Lagos and Ogun State House of Assemblies members, all Local Government Chairmen and all other political figures and government functionaries across all political parties present, Olofin opined delightedly.
His Majesty, Arole Olofin Ogunfunminire commends the successful organization setting of all members of the planning committee under the Chairmanship of Prince Femi Fadina, the leadership of the Awori Welfare Association of Nigeria - AWAN under the Presidency of Ashiwaju M.A Olagbayi and the Advisory Council of Awori Day Cultural Festival under the Chairmanship of Ashiwaju Michael Olawale Cole, for putting all hurdles to good use in ensuring such a glamorous and historical event came to reality.
On this final note, on behalf of myself, the Olofin of Isheri-in-council and the good people of Isheri-mole, I appreciate the honour bestowed upon me to present an award to the families of Late Chief Sakariyahu Opeifa, a patriot, patriarch and father of our dear brother, Hon. Kayode Opeifa. It is indeed a great initiative and value added to the event to honour our past heroes whom during their lifetime contributed immensely to the progress and development of Awori Land for the betterment of all.
Once again I say congratulations to us all on the successful hosting of the auspicious and glamorous Awori Day Festival, and I pray that may the spirit of our ancestors continue to be with us as we live to celebrate more of this day on earth. Olofin concluded.
