Olofin of Isheri Congratulates Dapo Abiodun, Jide Sanwoolu on Electoral Victory, Applauds INEC, Security Agencies


It is with utmost joy and happiness that the Traditional Emblem and Progenitor of all Aworis, Olofin Asholesa, His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba (Engr.) Sulaiman Adekunle Bamgbade, Ayodele Edun Alaka III, Arole Olofin Ogunfunminire, Olofin of Isheri and Adimula of the Source of Awori Kingdoms, has congratulated the Executive Governors and candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) both in Ogun and Lagos States.


The ancient and natural head of all Awori settlements both in Lagos and Ogun State has expressed his Royal congratulatory message to the Governors on their re-election victory in a press statement made available to the press through the office of media and publicity at the ancient Olofin's Palace, that His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, his running mate, Her Excellency, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele and their Lagos State counterpart; His Excellency, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu and his Deputy, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat are deserving of their success in the just concluded Ogun State Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections held on the 18th of March, 2023.


Olofin Asholesha in the statement then urge the Governors to further ensure adequate delivery of good governance as they have done in their first tenure of office for the people of our dear gateway State and centre of excellence, for the electorates to enjoy the genuine dividends of democracy as expected.


"There's no doubt that Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration of Ogun State and the Greater Lagos under the leadership of Governor Sanwoolu has delivered on the mandate entrusted to the government by the people, because the success of this administration can be felt across the nooks and crannies of the states ranging from agricultural improvement, road maintenance and infrastructural development, security consciousness, industrial revolution amongst many initiatives that has been introduced in order to improve the well-being of lives and properties in the state."


On this note, the declaration of the both Governors as the winner of the election is not surprising but very much expected, and it is evident to prove the confidence the electorates have reposed in the Governors to continue in their progressive partnership of both states in their bid to attain greater developments. At the polls, we the Aworis have ensures that our people in their numbers voted massively in fulfillment of our promise at the epoch making Awori Day Cultural Festival, where the both state governments played very active roles it's actualization." Kabiesi expressed pleasantly.


Olofin Asholesho also used to medium to applaud the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and all partnering Security agencies on what he described as a well done job, for the level of cooperation and peaceful coordination of the electoral process in both States.


His Majesty further stressed the applauds to all the electorates most especially the indigenous people of Awori origin that deemed it as a point of importance to troop out in order to exercise their civic responsibilities in cooperation, coordination and decorum at the election grounds, as good citizens of  both Lagos and Ogun States in line with the provisions of the constitution and the electoral act as amended.
