Tinubu Mean Well For Nigeria, Let's Be Patient With Him - Aboro Ibese Urge Nigerians

SUBSIDY REMOVAL: TINUBU MEAN WELL FOR NIGERIA, HE JUST NEEDS PATIENCE TO MAKE IT WORK - ABORO IBESE URGE NIGERIANS

The Aboro of Ibese, Yewa North Ogun State, Oba Rotimi Oluseyi Mulero, Ilufemiloba Olokojobi III, has urged citizens of Nigeria to exercise patience with the President, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his team as they find lasting solution to the menace of fuel subsidy that has been ravaging our economy.

The foremost ogun monarch while addressing pressmen who were at his palace to seek his Royal opinion on the state of the nation and situation of subsidy removal by the newly sworn-in administration that has resulted to hike in the price of petroleum across the nation, the monarch in his response urged that it is high time we start taking decisions that will help end the crisis that have over the years been derogating our economy across all sectors.

He further buttressed his view by using an aged long yoruba aphorism that says "Títa ríro là ńkọlà, tó bá jínńá tán l'oún d'ógé" which can simply be translated as "With severe pain we scarify our face with tribal mark, but when the wounds are heal, the beauty will becomes a fashion".

With reference to the above adage, Oba Rotimi Mulero emphasized that he is in total support of the subsidy removal because it would only make us wasteful to continue subsidizing petroleum products in the country which will only play rightly to the rich class of citizens whom are benefitting immensely from it.

"We would all recall that since his assumption to the office as President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commenced work in earnest, and part of this work is meeting with professionals and captains of petroleum and financial industries in order to find a way of easing the burden this tough decision might have on average Nigerians before the eventual eradication of this wealth sucking subsidy. This is the reason for the presidential promise of resuscitating at least one government owned refineries before the end of the year."

"Also, the President in his bid to ensure his regime bring good fortune by improving the livelihood of all Nigerians irrespective of their classes, has promised to review minimum wage at his first official meeting with State Governors."

"It is high time we end this idea of the rich class getting richer at the detriment of the poor and average citizens, and this is exactly the reason behind this move by the President" Oba Rotimi broadly explained.

Alayeluwa then concluded by reiterating that "we have firm believe that he is well grounded and experienced administratively to take our country to it's rightful place as the Giants of Africa that we are, we just urge all our fellow Nigerians across all political, ethnic and religious divides to understand and patiently support him as he works us all out of this decades of poverty for our collective benefits and that of the generations to come."
