ADOGUN FAMILY LAMENTS REIGN OF ATTACKS ON MEMBERS, CALL FOR GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION

Adogun Atele Family Laments Continuous Reign of Attacks On Family Members, Calls For Immediate Intervention

The Adogun Atele Royal Family of Itele Kingdom in Ado Odo Ota Local Government has decried the continuous attacks on members of their family. While speaking to newsmen on the fresh attack that took place again on Thursday 15th February 2024, an eye witness who preferred to remain anonymous reported that some unrepentant hoodlums and hired assassins invaded the office belonging to a prominent members of the Adogun Family located at Aparadija-Itele community to unleash terror and unrest in the area leaving people injured while running for their lives and destroying properties.

Following this heinous attack, the thugs who were identified to have been led by one Mr Adesina Adekoya Fashina (aka Apet) and some of his gang members namely; Shakiru Alabi Badmus (aka Small Police), Lukmon Ayuba Dada, Samson Morinola Bamisebi, Fatai Aiyeleru, Ganiu Obabiyi, Saidi yynusa Aiyeleru and Tawabu Ayuba Dada, who were said to have been sent on a mission were heard saying "we have Godfathers and our king will always get us released if arrested, we have been directed to kill any member of Adogun family anywhere and anytime we get hold of them and nothing will happen."

With the excesses and reign of thuggery in Itele community, one would wonder if there's no police post or government in the community, this has left people to continue asking questions if we still have existence of government and security agencies in Ogun State.

These attacks has continued to occurred on regular basis following the Obaship tussle in the Land in order for the reigning opposition to clear off all existing members of Adogun Atele Family who were affirmed by the Supreme Court in Abuja as the only family comprising of 4 (four) ruling houses entitled to the throne of the Onitele of Itele Awori Land which was fraudulently dashed out to another.

A member of the family who spoke with the pressmen also expressed that "We have continued to experience and escaped series of these attacks and we are not happy with this and that is why we collectively denounce this act of violence. We own our land and that is why we have always seek redress legally because we don't want to retaliate this attacks on our family, we will not be lured into bloodshed that can lead to the destruction of our ancestral land."

He further said that this continuous destruction of our properties is uncalled for and we are using this medium to appeal to the Government of Ogun State under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun and all relevant security agencies again to as a matter of urgency come to our rescue in the hands of this agents of devil before it gets totally out of hands, maybe we need to remind the government that we are also citizens of this Ogun State and we don't have anywhere else to go.
