World Omoluabi Festival: Yoruba Council Appoints Ogbeni Ajibode As Committee Secretary For 6th Edition 


As the plans to commence the planning for one of the most anticipated Yoruba cultural festivals "World Omoluabi Festival" is in top gear as the leadership of Yoruba Council Worldwide (Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye) sets this years edition under new Central Planning Committee (CPC) leadership under the Chairmanship of Akowe Oodua Siyanbade Adekanmbi and Ogbeni Ajibode Abd'kabir as the Secretary.
While announcing the new set of leadership of the committee in the early hours of Monday, April 1st, the President of apex Yoruba interest group i.e Yoruba Council Worldwide, Aare Oodua Oladotun Hassan Esq., said the need to set the ball rolling for the 2024 edition of the festival is now very necessary.
Aare Oladotun while congratulating the newly appointed committee members, charged them on the need to ensure all hands are on deck for the birth of new ideas and innovations that will add glamour to this years edition than the previous editions. He added that the date for the festival remains on the 5th of May (World Omoluabi Day) scheduled to hold at Blueroof Auditorium LTV 8, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos State, as this year's edition will also feature the annual visit to the Palace of his Imperial Majesty, Ooni Babatunde Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife after which the Ẹwà Omidan ati Ogbeni Omoluabi Oodua Agbaye fashion/beauty contest will to hold at the main Palace auditorium on the same day.

Ogbeni Ajibode Abd'kabir in his acceptance note on behalf of the newly appointed committee members, thanked the President for the confidence reposed in him and other members of the committee to take charge of the planning of this great festival.

He however, pleaded for the support of all and sundry towards ensuring a successful hosting of the 6th World Omoluabi Festival as he assures of a purposeful and expertized planning of a more colourful, elaborate and interest event.

Other appointed members of the central planning committee for the 6th World Omoluabi include;

Yeye Barr KK Ajose, Vice Chairman; Aderemi Ajibola Isaac Publicity Secretary; Alawode Rahman, Assistant Publicity Secretary; Yeye Oluwatoyin Hassan, Organising Secretary; Itunuoluwa Ariyo, Assistant Organising Secretary; Yeye Ganiyat Alli, Events and Protocol; Toyese Ooni, Assistant Event and Protocol; Aarebirin Princess Iyaloja Folashade Abeo Nurudeen, Planning and Strategy;

Recall that the World Omoluabi Festival is an annual Yoruba Festival that was approved by the Ooni of ìfẹ to always take place every 5th of May at any part of Yoruba Land where prominent indigenous people of Yoruba race across Nigeria and in diaspora gather to merry and chart a way forward for the betterment of Yoruba Land.
