Protest: Prince Adeyinka Illo Urges Lagosians To Shun Violence And Ill-Mannered Protest, Says Lagos is Working
The Chairman Prince Adeyinka Illo Foundation and prominent party stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Ikeja Chapter, has urged Nigerians to shun all forms of anarchy that can lead to violence in any part of the country, he said the Tinubu-led federal government is working round the clock to ensure the hardship bedeviling the country is a thing of the past.
Prince Adeyinka who made this clarion call on wednesday morning from his office at Ikeja, said "Nigerians and most importantly residents of Lagos must laconically reject the ill-motivated planned protest calculated at destructing the fast growing development of Lagos".
He further added that "Inevitably by this singular pervasive evil acts, we are suspicious of a repetition of another Endars scenerio that left behind tales of woes, deaths, massive destructions of lives and properties. It is in this light that i hereby call on my brothers and sisters across all ethnic climes to reject in strict terms condemn in it's entirety the obnoxious and ill-mannered planned protest."
"The worst of this relish evil ploy from some set of unscrupulous elements is to destabilize and cause unnecessary unrest and havoc in Nigeria and most especially our beautiful and fast developing Lagos."
"At this critical time in out country, what we should all be thinking is to join hands to pray and support the government, but protesting off all things is absolutely ridiculous, misleading, deceitful and absurd as it would only do our country more harm by further destroying our economy and infrastructural development."
"We therefore reaffirm that our Lagos is working to make lives better and as a people we must ensure to embrace peace, unity and progress for the general benefit of all.
Nigeria is still our only country and we pray for her unhindered unity, peace and development.
