Nigerian Youths Meets IGP Egbetokun, Presents Demands And Resolutions To President Tinubu For Better Nigeria

With sublime respect, I firstly appreciate IGP Kayode Egbetokun for accepting our special request to granting the Nigerian Youths audience for a synergic dialogue today 12th August, 2024 coinciding with the United Nations International Youth Day to chat a common course on the current state of the nation, while using this opportunity to welcome all our Distinguished guests on behalf of the leadership of the Nigerian Youth Coalition (NYC); being the apex coalition umbrella body for the over 707 Nigerian Civil Society, NGOs, Political, Socio-cultural and Ethnic Nationalities Youth Organisations, we are unequivocally committed to ensuring strict protection of rights and privileges of 

Nigerian Youths and by extension all Nigerians towards the preservation of peace, unity and national development respectively. 

As part of our mutual resolutions with the office of the Inspector General of Police, I respectfully acknowledge and appreciate you all for your presence at this maiden Nigeria Police Youth Summit with the 

THEME: ENHANCING NIGERIAN YOUTH VALUE FOR NATIONAL SECURITY INTELLIGENCE. 

Based on this premise, we are pleased to partner and present our Plan of Actions and well detailed  unanimous resolutions to our Distinguished host of today's epochal summit IGP KAYODE ADEOLU EGBETOKUN PHD. NPM for onward intervention, collation of all views, resolutions, communique and accelerated presentation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for onward strategic implementation. 

That we have  resolved  not to join the protest is not out of cowardice but premised on patriotism and love for our country #NigeriaFirst 

and equally condemned the aftermath of the 1st to 10th August,  2024 Nationwide  Protest tagged:  ##EndBadGovernance #DaysofRage led

by Omoyele Sowore led groups and other saboteur; leading to massive lootings, destructions, deaths and attacks in various communities across the country, consequently precipitated our decision to mutually agreed to work with the IGP to critically engaged all youth groups and other stakeholders on the urgent need to convoke this National Police Youth Summit / National Youth Dialogue respectively. 

Our focal point is to establish and build a Robust Synergy with IGP Kayode Egbetokun's good office as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer and Peacemaker, while all resolutions collectively reached shall be jointly presented to 

His Excellency, 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu respectfully.

We are ready to work hand-in-hand with the current Administration on all Critical Sectors of the Economy, Education, Advocacy and National Orientation, 

Security, Youth Engagements and National Development, alongside any other ancillary matters of 

mutual national importance and legitimate interests.

Our Focal Points of  Demands For Onward Implementation: 

We aligned with The Patriots Leaders of Thoughts resolutions with little addendum:

To Demand For Presidential Executive Bill For A New Nigeria Pluralistic People's  Constitution through The National Assembly's Establishment of National Plebicite and Referendum Commission and National Constitution Management Agency Department under the SGF and SA to President on Legislative Matters office to work on Confab Resolution, 1963 Constitution,  NEEDS and SDG's Policies, via Mapping Out Constituent's Assembly to be jointly coordinated by each of the 36 State's House of Assemblies and Ward Councillors, 108 and 360 House Representatives Members to be done within 180 days respectively. Once ratified by all Legislatures because electing new Constituents Assembly representative will be extremely cumbersome  to achieve and capable  of disrupting the political climate plunging the nation into another aggravated crises.

Urgent Implementation of the National Youth Policy Document. 

To establish the  National Youth Data Centre for proper demographic monitoring and evaluation of the population of Nigerian youths. 

To establish National Youth Development Commission at LGA, State, Regional and Federal levels, in order to achive optimal delivery of dividends of democracy to all Nigerian youths, as well as regulate all youth organizations in Nigeria.

To establish a National Youth Trust Fund,  with continous sources from both private via 5% tax/tariff deductions and government tripartite fundings deductions of 10% from all minerals and natural resources sales, and any other ancillary related sources. 

To establish Federal Ministry of Chieftaincy and National Traditional Affairs/  Traditional Affairs Commission, wherein all traditional rulers  can be protected  and guaranteed unimpeded  Synergy with the Federal Government and Ensuring Adequate Welfare of their indigenous people nationwide.

Review of PIA Act and Establishment of A New National Petroleum Industry Strategic Framework Policy that will regulates our local refineries on price control and grant increase benefits from 3% to 30%  to oil producing  communities in Nigeria especially the Niger Delta corridors.

To establish National Staple Commodities, Transportation Fares and Food Price Control Regulatory Agency.

National Agricultural Economic Development Zone Scheme Affairs Commission to work with NALDA, Federal and State's Ministries of Agriculture and Lands. 

Establishment of A National Joint Regional Security Task Force Network Agency: for robust synergy, intelligence and regulate all local indigenous Vigilante, Socio-cultural groups and local security groups ie: OPC, CivilianJTF, Hisbah , Tantita , Eastern Local Vigilante to mention a few. 

National Education Development Commission to regulate school fees, develop new curriculum on skill acquisition subjects and  other internal sundry issues within the education system. 

To reduce government's overbloated high cost of  governance, wastage and leakages across all sectors. 

To Ensure Presidential Order on Justiciable, Full Implementation and Freedom of the entire provisions in the  Chapter 2 of the 1999 Constitution (As Amended).

To demand that all the 36  Governors and FCT Minister ensures full and unimpeded Implementation of the Supreme Court'e Judgement on Local Government  Autonomy, Independent Management and Funding. 

To make this meeting Quarterly Meeting through the establishment of the Police and Youths Relations Committee to  run simultaneously from the Police Force  Headquarters in Abuja down to the Divisional  Headquarters across Nigeria. 

This shall serve as a strong basis for the theme of this epochal summit wherein Nigerian Youths Value for National  Security  Intelligence  can be optimally  achieved.
