Nigeria @ 64: Dr. Oyefolu Tayese Urges Nigerians To Remain Positive, Says Better Nigeria Is Imminent
Dr. Tayese Oyefolu, a Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress - APC and leading aspirant of Ojo Local Government Chairmanship, has joined the entire citizenry of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in celebration of the 64th year Independence anniversary.
Dr. Oyefolu charged Nigerians to remain positive and continue to pray for the swift progress and rapid development of the nation, especially in this trying period.
He made this clarion call while addressing pressmen at his country home in Irewe, Ojo Local Government, Lagos State.
In his message, Dr. Oyefolu said he is very optimistic and confident that the country's better days are imminently close. He said "Today, as we gather to celebrate Nigeria's Independence Day, a momentous occasion marking 64th solid years since our great nation gained her freedom."
"As a people of common interest, we commemorate this milestone, we reflect on our nation's journey, the struggles, triumphs, and progress. We honour the sacrifices of our founding fathers, who envisioned a united, prosperous Nigeria that we all had held on to till date."
"As compatriots, our dear nation needs us to relentlessly play crucial roles in shaping a better future. Together, let's foster a culture of patriotism, integrity, and service. As it is important we inculcate and nurture traits of responsible and informed citizens of a great and united nation."
"As we celebrate, let's recommit to Nigeria's founding principles precipitated on unity of purpose and common vision of progress. I pray that may our nation succeed and may God bless her people. Happy Independence Day, Nigeria!"
