​Yoruba Council Celebrates Ooni of Ife on 50th Birthday Anniversary



The President of the apex Yoruba interest group, Yoruba Council Worldwide i.e Igbimọ Àpapọ Yoruba Lágbayé, Aare Dotun Hassan, Esq. has described Ooni of Ife as a Royal titan and embodiment of progressive innovations.


Aare Dotun Hassan made this declaration on the birthday reception held in honour of the foremost traditional ruler at his ile-ife palace yesterday, wednesday.


In his message, Aare Dotun commended Ooni Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Co-Chairman, National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria and Chairman, Southern Council of Traditional Rulers, for his steadfastness and commitment to projecting the Yoruba image through is numerous innovations and establishments.


The meeting went on to discuss on the proposed maiden edition of the Yoruba Obas Summit tagged "The Monarchs" one of the exciting initiatives of Yoruba Council Worldwide in conjunction with the Palace of the Ooni of Ife, aimed at bringing together all Yoruba Obas across tg southwestern States and Edo, Kwara and Kogi, as well as provide a platform for more innovative developments through the traditional institution.


He added that "On behalf of the leadership of Yoruba Council Worldwide and the entire Yoruba sons and daughters from across the world, we celebrate the 50th birthday anniversary of our father and traditional symbol, His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, we say happy birthday and we pray for baba's continuous success in sound health and abundant blessings always.


Igba ọdún, ọdún kan ni baba, k'ade pẹ lori, ki bata pẹ lẹsẹ, ki ẹṣin ọba jẹ ko pẹ kanrin kese, ki awọn Olori tunbọ máa ṣiṣẹ ibi ninu ilé Oòduà.
