Awori Youths Congratulates Meranda On Emergence As First Lagos Female Speaker

The entire Awori Youths in Lagos, Ogun and the diaspora, under the auspices of Awori Welfare Association of Nigeria (AWAN)- Youth Wing, has extended warm congratulations to Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda on her well-deserved historical emergence as the first indigenous female Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly. 


Ogbeni Ajibode Abdulkabir who spoke to the press on behalf of the group, described Meranda’s achievement as a testament to her dedication, hard work, and commitment to serving the people of Lagos State.


He noted that Rt. Hon. Meranda apart from being a prominent indigenous Princess in Lagos State, is also an astute politician of great and impeccable integrity whose leadership and vision serve as an inspiration to all lagosians, most especially the females.


The group further praised Meranda’s elevation to the esteemed position of the number one legislator in Lagos State, noting that the development it is a source of pride for the entire Awori indigenes all over the world.


Ogbeni Ajibode then wished the Speaker continued success and wisdom as she steers the affairs of the House, hoping that her tenure will be marked by unprecedented progress, growth, and development for Lagos State. “We therefore affirm our firm support to her leadership and we have no doubt that Princess Meranda will excel and make the entire Aworis more proud in her new role,” Ajibode said.
